As most know, I have a minor obsession with shoes and my daughter is certain to inherit that gene. She has more shoes already, from family and friends, than any 4 month old baby I know (FYI - I have only purchased one pair (Uggs)...more on those next winter). I put these ones on her the other day - ridiculously cute, huh? I am not a big fan of putting babies in shoes before they can walk (...developmental/motor issues; that stinking medical side of me...), so she rarely has them on, but I couldn't resist trying these on.

I was glad to read that there is a downside to putting babies in shoes before they can walk...my mother-in-law thinks it is a sin and tells me often that her kids "were always in shoes as babies"...
Your medical knowledge is perfect. I haven't had Matthew in shoes because they are expensive, a pain to put on and I thought pointless. Now I can add "medically harmful" to my list of reasons to give Karen, haha.
(Although, if I ever have a girl, I reserve the right to take all of this back and buy some adorable mary janes or other frilly, bow-laden shoes for her!!)
