Owning a small business has been the single most challenging adventure in our life to date...but it also has brought out such joy in my husband. To see his commitment to this project, to our family, and to our future is awe-inspiring. Don't be fooled...it is an immense amount of work (Jon finally took his first day off in 25 days recently...); and Leighton and I have a lot of Daddy playdates at the car wash or extra long lunches with dad on weekends. Not to mention, I now have a chronic neck spasm from stressing, painting, moving furniture, planting, etc, etc. But the major changes are done...it feels more officially ours only 4 weeks after taking ownership. And the advertising and networking is in full-force. Jon is my little, no BIG go-getter! I am so proud of him! Now if we could just pay Jon some income...even a penny! I know, I know: it'll happen. Ah, the joys of owning your own business.

Amazing accomplishment for you two.. opps.. you THREE!! Can't wait to get my car washed!! (end of August I'll be back from Malaysia so my car will need a good scrubbing by then!!)
