Yep, it happened...her first broken bone (shoot!). She fell off the couch at daycare onto a toy - just perfectly - and cracked one of the bones on the top of her foot (base of 3rd metatarsal, for all you anatomy junkies!)
Luckily, the bones didn't move out of place, so she should just need the boot for 3-4 weeks (we hope...). It is the cutest little boot you've ever seen...and the smallest they make!
She realized within about 4 hours that her "special boot" helps her to walk without pain. She's so smart! She refuses to have it off now...she even sleeps with it on! Our poor little bug -- such a trooper!
P.S. She really is a very happy toddler....she is just in a phase of refusing to smile for the camera. I hope I can catch that gorgeous smile of hers again soon!
