4 days before my miscarriage, my sister and her family had arrived to spend a week with everyone and enjoy some gorgeous AZ weather. It was such a great time...I love my nephews and niece so much and miss them endlessly! Here's the visit:

We had big plans to head to Canyon Lake...right after my "routine" baby ultrasound. Well, as we all know now, it was nothing routine...but after a few hours of grieving and pure disbelief on everyone's part, we decided to take to the outdoors anyway. It was a nice distraction, great time together, and I knew I didn't want to just sit and cry all day (I had other days for that!). These are the very special photos from that day:
